Peleus & Thetis

Opening night is tomorrow at Concordia University!  I worked as Design Supervisor guiding the design students through this epic show.  It is a stunning blend of Western and Jingju (Chinese Opera) theatrical traditions.  Written by Harry Stanjovski and Directed by Robert Reid & Sousen Lu (Visiting professor from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts in Beijing).

The Fruit Hunters - In Theatres Nov 23rd!

The premiere was last weekend, it was great to see it all come together!  Liz Furguson wrote a glowing review in the Gazette here.

ADISQ, Best Music Video of the Year 2012 - Camouflar

Corinne Merrel, Louisa Schabas and I created a maquette world for Galaxie's music video, Camouflar.  Inspired by B-movies of the 1970's we built a black & white city with a hill-side oasis.

The video was recently awarded best video of the year, 2012 (videoclip de l'annee, 2012) by ADISQ, it is also a vimeo staff pick.

The Fruit Hunters

I'm very excited about the upcoming premiere of The Fruit Hunters this coming Saturday, November 10th at the RIDM festival in Montreal!
Directed by Yung Chang and produced by EyeSteelFilm this film brings together some phenomenal talent that will change your perception of fruit.
I acted as artistic director of the models with Corinne Merrell, Louisa Schabas and Deborah Sullivan.

It will be out in theatres across Canada on Nov 23rd.

Richard III

I recently designed the set, costumes and props for a production of 
Richard III in the Segal Studio with  Metachroma, a new theatre company in Montreal.  This company is composed of a lovely group of theatre artists whose mandate is to open the stage to actors of visible minority.  
It was a pleasure to work with Joel Miller and this team over the past few months.

The Seventh Seal

I've had the good fortune of teaching at Concordia University for just over a year.  In that time I've been  acting as co-artistic director and well as teaching various classes and guiding the designers through the mainstage productions, one of which is fast approaching! 
Come see our interpretation of Ingmar Berman's classic The Seventh Seal adapted for the stage.

Opening night is this Thursday, October 18th.

Ars Poetica Opening Night

Tonight is the opening for Infinitheatre's Ars Poetica, a new farce by the wonderful playwright Arthur Holden (who also starred as the Rabbi in Sorry, Rabbi).

This came about through the collaboration of an amazing cast & crew. I've been working away designing the Set & Costumes.
